Event Description
Information about CAIP application process and investment areas will be provided for those interested in applying for cost-share in addition to pertinent details regarding the requirements and eligibility.
The County Agricultural Investment Program (CAIP) is a cost-share assistance program that is aimed at helping Kentuckians increase net farm income, improve farm efficiency and productivity, and afford the opportunity to try innovative technologies. Interested parties must complete an application, fulfill and education requirement, and provide proof of purchases for a pre-approved project which will then be funded up to a certain amount via reimbursement in the fall.
There are 11 eligible investment areas:
- Agriculture Diversification
- Large Animal
- Small Animal
- Farm Infrastructure
- Fencing & On-Farm Water
- Forage & Grain Improvement
- On-Farm Energy
- Poultry & Other Fowl
- Technology & Leadership Development
- Value-Added & Marketing
- Innovative Ag Systems
CAIP sign ups will be January 12 - 30, 2026 by 4:30 PM.
It is recommended to attend the informational meeting but not mandatory.
